Peter C Somers MD Has Given Lectures on the Various Treatments of Cosmetic Surgery

Peter C Somers MD is a cosmetic surgeon with significant years of experience under his belt. Carrying years of experience, he has various publications and projects completed under the leading cosmetic surgery experts. He organized and presented continuing medical education activities for physicians and nurses. All programs are fully accredited by the Florida Medical Association.

Owing to his skills and expertise, he has given many miscellaneous lectures in his career span. Some of them are mentioned below:

· Guest Speaker, Florida Trial Lawyers Association, Steamboat Springs, Colorado, titled “Craniofacial Reconstruction.” November 1992.

Talking about his education, Peter C Somers MD completed his B.S. in Biology from Loyola College, Baltimore in the year 1974. In the urge to learn more, he took admission in Eastern Virginia Medical School and completed in the year 1977. Thereafter, he took the post-doctoral training – Internship and Resident from Graduate Hospital, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, and General Surgery. Then, he was the Resident in General Surgery/Chief Resident, Georgetown University, Washington. He became the Chief Resident of Plastic Surgery at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Medicine, Rochester, Minnesota. Then, he compeleted a fellowship in Cosmetic Surgery and was associate with Dr. Lawrence B. Robbins Past President of the Aesthetic Society, American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Miami Beach in the year 1985.

He attended two week certification Seminar and Practice on Laser Resurfacing: Fulton Skin Institute. Following this year, he attended Mayo Clinic Symposium on Plastic Surgery. After this, he attended Lahry Clinic Symposium: Update on Plastic Surgery. He is the recipient of AMA Physician Recognition Award for outstanding completion of CME (Continuing Medical Education), 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999.
